As soon as I have a ready website up for said new comic I will post it here. I know you guys don't seem keen on reading the news often but please READ THIS!!!

Con Time Doth Approacheth

It's that special time again!
That's right. It's con time again. Pomm and I will be at the Quiet Yell booth at Anime Fest from August 31 to September 4. Woot. We won't be selling Pink Rutabaga swag but we will be selling our own art. Pomm might be sketching for people and I'll be selling my prints. If I sell out of those I might do sketches too. :D

If you haven't gotten your tickets for Anime Fest yet you can still purchase them for the cheep price today online, and only today. Unfortunitly. But there are lots of prices and its pretty cheep, at least compared to Akon. So here's the website you can go to---> https://www.animefest.org/

Here's hoping to see you all there. As a side note, if you are on deviantART and come to our booth be sure to post that you have on my website---> http://artphr33k.deviantart.com/ so I can put your avatar on my gallery under "People I meet at Cons".

Pink out.

The Moving....

It's kind of like The Shining, only it takes longer.

I am FINALLY at a place in our new house where I can relax and get back to work. Yay, we are mostly not living out of boxes, though they still seem to take up most of the house, and (most importantly) my office is about 90 percent put together. I still have to go get some thumb tacks so I can put my posters up.

Just to give you an idea of what my hubby and I have been going through (and my foster parents, and Pomm); we painted 5 rooms (the reading room is still on the list), added wallpaper borders to the tops of both bathrooms, cleaned, and are still cleaning...all of this on top of the normal things you do when you buy a house! So now you see why I had to have filler art. The comic for last week was actually done the week before we started moving, giving Pomm and me some time to get things situated for the next set of comics. I promise there will be an actual comic next week. Thank you all for being oh so patient!

Can I sleep now?

The wedding went wonderfully!!!
Ben and Deanna looked beautiful. All the groom's men and the groom had these cuff links my mom made, d20s glued onto cuff links!! (20 sided dice for the non-gamers). I stole my husband's and am wearing them on my jean jacket now. Woohoo! Hehehe, anyway, the wedding was much exhausting fun. We all cried. Though, something seems to go wrong with every wedding...in this one, we had a thief. Someone snuck into the bride's dressing room and stole money from my purse and one of the other bride's maid's purses. Some people have no class at all!!! :P After the wedding, the next day was a dinner party at Pomm's that a bunch of us had been planing for a while. It was a wonderful, fun weekend but brutally exhausting and stressful (on me at least). This week we'll keep Ben and Deanna's pic up just so everyone can see it and I can get some time to figure out next week's comic.

Do you hear wedding bells...or is it just me?

It's wedding time again! I have been in too many weddings, hopefully this is the last. My brother is geting married on Saturday. So there will be festivities the day before of course. I'm very happy for them. I can't wait for it to be over. >o< Just too much stuff going on right now. My husband and I are in the house buying process, hopefully we'll have a new house by the end of July. *fingers crossed* Pomm and I are also working on the comic in hopes that the first issue will be purchasable at Anime Fest in August/September. Also we're trying to get some swag ready and our own art. Yay! We'll actually be selling our own unique prints and postcards! Aside from that its just work work and more work. I'm so tired...

I hate Dell, oh yeah...We missed a week too.

For those of you who thought they missed last week's comic...you didn't.
The casing on my laptop screen started to buckle and break Friday night. Come to find out two screws were missing...not at all sure how that happened but I have a few ideas. *Shakes fist angrily at Dell technicians* Anyway, it took Dell till Thursday to come and fix my simple, unscrew, re screw problem (that I couldn't do myself or I'd void the warranty). The morons brought the wrong freaking part! I actually didn't need a part. I just needed someone to unscrew the casing and fix it but the idiot my husband talked to on the phone kept trying to suggest the lcd was the problem. Thankfully the guy had a few screws in his truck and it got fixed on Thursday. Needless to say, I didn't have time for a comic. Enjoy.

In other news: Pink and Pomm will be sharing a booth with Grapevine Star Entertainment and Demented Dragon at Akon. Come by, pick up free swag and say hi!

If its not one thing its your mother....

Just so you know, we haven't forgotten about the comic. My laptop has been a pile of useless technology since Friday. Yesterday the Dell people finally came to fix it only they brought the wrong part, but thankfully they were able to fix it anyway. There will be a comic Monday. Promise.

Mosh pits, Saosin, and heart attacks...oh my.

I went to Taste of Chaos with my little brother and two of his friends Friday night. The concert was great, 30 seconds to Mars was just amazing, but near the end of the concert we got an awful call. My step mother (His mom) was in the hospital. She had a heart attack. Another pretty cool thing happened when we were trying to get one of his friends out of the pit so we could leave for the hospital. One of the guys from Saosin recognised my brother from the many concerts he'd been to in Florida and invited him back stage.

So my step mom is ok now, she didn't have a blood clot. Turned out to be a complication of her breathing problems. She doesn't take in oxygen because her body tells her she has too much carbon dioxide but because she has too much oxygen. So it led to a lack of air to the lungs and heart (A heart attack basically).

They are all home now, and everything is about as good as its going to get I think.

The Log: Or No Sleep For Micha!

The ongoing and updating clifnotes of my travel...cause I can.

Day One:
We got up around 7 am, stuffed our gear and ourselves into the car and were off, driving from Texas to Florida. 16 hours or so later we pulled into a HoJo in Tallahassee and passed out.

Day Two: We set out far too early for me...again, especially since the previous night got me no sleep what so ever. I think the couple in the room above us was holding a snoging-marathon. I heard the matress squeek for at least an hour. From Tallahassee we drove all the way to Key Largo, kind of a record for us because we got in around 7:00 pm or so...pretty early. But then, usually we're driving all the way to Marathon. Significant difference. Along the way I picked up FF3 for the DS and played it most of the night. :D

Day Three: Day three is rainy. and no one wants to drive down a slim key highway in the rain. Trust me. it's about 2 and the rain is just now stopping. Yay. We drove down to Marathon to the little key we're all collecting on to stair up at the sky like suicidal turkeys for a week. Yay! Really, its much more fun than it sounds. The skies are beautiful, the company is funny, and the food isn't half bad. Now that the rain's stopped I am daring to bring out my lap top...further entries to come.

Day Four: Guess what? It's raining. :D I have never seen so much rain in Marathon during this time of year in three years!!! sigh, oh wells. It was kind of nice to wake up to rain on the top of our tent this morning. And man am I aware its morning. So tired...blegh. It would seem I'm stuck under the mess tent until the torrential down pour stops. Some time today we're going out to Key West (going to spend the night in one of the hotel rooms up there) and then its off to Dry Tortugas (SP?) the next day. This means the next post will be in a few days. Ta.

Day Five: Walked all over Key West today, checking out shops. We've been down a few times so I've already seen alot of the tours and what not. I still like looking at all the grotesquely overpriced crap. Not to mention the ritzy ones...its some weird phenom....rich people come to Key West to spend money, go fig. Going back to the hotel now, its beautiful...so nice and lush. I'm going to enjoy every respit from the tent that I can!

Yay, saw the Dry Tortugas and Fort Jefferson. Lots of pretty birds, snorkling along the coral...so great.

Day Six: Got back from Tortugas last night and crashed in the tent. Oh, was so exhausted. Just spent the better part of this day lounging around and doing last minute adjustments to the scope. Its about to rain so I'm going to go run for cover under the mess tent.

Day Seven: Its rainy, cold, and windy. And it doesn't apear to be geting better. Oh well, later on today we'll be having a raffle to give away prizes and stuff. I hope I get something. Other than that we're just siting around. Doesn't look like anything but sucker holes tonight so we probably will put up the scopes early.
